My name is Ali.  I'm a transplanted New Englander with family all over the country.  When I'm not working, I'm running... running after one (or all) of my three kids, running after my husband (hubba hubba), running errands, running to the grocery store, running to practice... running for my health.

I started running and stopped running.  I started running again in February 2012.  I lost 6 or 7 lbs.  I stopped running.  I started working out in earnest again in May 2012.  I started monitoring my calories so that what I ate fueled my body instead of just fueling my emotional eater needs.

To date, I've lost 26 lbs.  I now weigh less than I did when my husband and I were married in 2003.  My goal is to lose about 14-15 more lbs so that I weigh what I did in high school...a good healthy weight for a woman who is 5'8" tall. 

I'm running my very first half-marathon in April.  Join me on my journey.
